My Neice
So a few weeks ago I was able to FINALLY take my beautiful Neices 1 year photos.Which was way over due...she turned one in March and her Mommy and I FINALLY found a free moment to correlate our schedules so I could snap a few shots of her. This little one was my very first model 1 year ago when I first started my photography...I took her new born photos. How much she has grown up since then. She is one of the happiest kids I know. She always has a cheeky grin on her face, I love it! It was a little tough trying to get her to sit still for a photoshoot...Because she is ALWAYS on the go and a little fire ball. I love her little character within her. I love you little Miss "A" you are a beauty and I am so glad I am your Auntie.

Buddies Forever
So I wanted to try my first "vintage" photoshoot with some of the vintage headbands that I made along with some vintage "actions" I had downloaded onto my computer. So I thought I would try my first one with my oldest daughter and her cousin. These two have been the best of buds since the day they were born. It was so much fun because they had a blast getting ready for the shoot...they were so excited because they were able to wear a little bit of makeup for the photoshoot...they definintly felt like little princesses
P.S.-I am sure you can tell some of the coloring is just a bit different on each photo-thats becasue I was trying out the different actions on my computer

The "C" Family
So this past summer I finally got the chance to do a photoshoot of one of my immediate family members. My brothers family! I am proud to say this cute family is apart of my family...times 2 literally! I chose this song "Keeper of the Stars" for their post because we have ALWAYS said that for any family reunions we may have...(which we had no idea at the time we, 3 out of the 4 kids in my family would end up in the same town) we said that this song was going to be our family reunion song. A short summary of how this couple met is very neat...some of you may know the story already but for those of you who don't it is a very neat story so sit back and enjoy! So 35+ years ago my Dad served his mission for our church all the way across the ocean in Scotland,UK. He there taught and baptized many people but there was one particular family that he taught and who were baptized and became members of our church that is dear to us, that was the "J" family. The "J" family always kept in touch with my Dad throughout the years even after his 2 years of his mission were through. Years and years passed and my Dad was married to my Mom and they had 4 children, and the "J" family too were adding more childen to their family at this time. Well, to try and make this short Mr. and Mrs. "J" came to visit my Mom and Dad and us(their kids) about 14years ago. Then about 3 years later one of Mr. and Mrs."J's" daughters came across to live with our family just for a few months doing an internship here in the U.S. while my older brother was on a mission. She left and my older brother returned home from his mission and we insisted he go to visit Mr. and Mrs. "J's" daughter in scotland..so he did for 1 week. Before he returned home..they were engaged!! They now have 3 beautiful children. That's a short story of how these two met. Wait!!! the story isn't quite finished...Soooo at the wedding I met one of her brothers and fell IN LOVE!! He was heading out on a mission for 2 years, 1 month later so we kept in touch and wrote throughout those two years and when he returned I went over to good ol' Bonnie Scotland and we too were engaged and were married that same year he returned home. So I married her brother and she married my brother..NEAT huh!! So needless to say I had to post this song for this familys post because we are truly thankful for the "Keeper of the stars" because he definitly had a hand in it, LONG before we all ever knew.

My Miracle Niece
Last month was one of my sweet nieces "1" year birthday. She and her Mommy flew in for a family reunion that my sister in laws family were having. So I asked her Mommy if I could take her 1 year photos while she was here. She was so full of smiles and excitement I loved every minute of this shoot! You are probably wondering why she is my miracle niece, right? Like the name of the song by george strait thats called "I Saw God Today", I have personally seen Miracles right before my eyes throughout my life and she was definintly one of them(I really wanted that song for her post but my playlist wouldn't accept the song for some odd reason so I picked this song that is one of my favoites just for ANY kid). This little girl just a few days after birth went through a 14 hour open heart surgery, her parents spent hours and hours sitting by her side at the hospital holding her sweet petite hands, kissing her sweet little head and having faith in the Lords hand that he would get her and them through this trial in their life...We are so happy she is here today celebrating her 1 year birthday! Her parents (my younger brother and his wife) are two people I truly admire for all they went through with this little miracle baby. Happy 1 year birthday to my sweet little miss "A"! Her Mommy even put together a "Heart" themed bday party for her...with a heart shaped cake etc. How creative huh?!
